Crafted from sacred Yew wood, these shavings are a powerful addition to spiritual rituals, spellwork, and fire-starting needs. Harvested as a byproduct of my carving process, they provide a sustainable and natural way to work with the deeply symbolic and ancient energy of the Yew tree.
Each pouch measures 9x14 cm, filled with the entire amount of shavings collected, ensuring you receive as much as possible without the need for weighing or measuring. While small traces of other wood may be present, the majority of the mix is pure Yew wood, carefully gathered to minimize waste and honor the tree’s sacred essence.
Spiritual & Historical Significance
The Yew tree (Taxus baccata) is one of the oldest and most revered trees in European, Celtic, and Norse traditions. Associated with death, rebirth, transformation, and immortality, it has long been planted in graveyards, churchyards, and sacred groves as a symbol of eternal life and the connection between worlds.
Protection & Warding – Yew is known for its potent protective energy, making it ideal for banishing negativity, shielding against harm, and reinforcing spiritual boundaries.
Transformation & Ancestral Wisdom – The tree’s long lifespan and association with rebirth make it a favored wood for those seeking guidance from ancestors, past-life work, and deep spiritual growth.
Divination & Connection to the Otherworld – In Druidic and Norse practices, Yew was believed to bridge the gap between realms, enhancing psychic abilities, intuition, and dream work.
These shavings can be used in incense blends, charm bags, spellwork, and fire rituals to channel the Yew tree’s ancient wisdom and protective power.
Perfect for Outdoor & Survival Use
Beyond spiritual purposes, Yew wood shavings are a great addition to any camping or survival kit. They make an excellent fire-starting material, burning steadily and efficiently for those who love the outdoors or need a reliable source of kindling.

Important Notice: Handling and Use of Yew Wood Products!
Please be advised that yew wood contains toxic compounds, especially concentrated in its leaves, seeds, and bark, primarily in the form of taxine alkaloids. Although the wood itself is typically safe for crafting purposes, it should be handled responsibly and should never be ingested or come into contact with the mouth.

Ingesting parts of the yew tree, such as the leaves, seeds, or bark, can lead to severe poisoning. Yew contains toxic compounds called taxine alkaloids, which can affect the heart, nervous system, and gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms of yew poisoning may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness, difficulty breathing, seizures, and potentially fatal heart rhythm disturbances. Ingesting even small amounts of yew plant material can be dangerous and may require immediate medical attention. It's essential to seek emergency medical care if ingestion of yew is suspected.
