🧵 Materials & Finish

Repairs are carried out using waxed polyester cord, widely used by many contemporary Māori master carvers and jewellery makers for:

• durability
• water resistance
• long-term wear
• secure tension on smaller wraps

The colour of the replacement cord can be discussed in advance.

🌿 Cultural Respect & Mana

The same cultural respect and handling standards apply as with my full relashing services.

If the piece carries mana, ancestral significance, or spiritual importance, please let me know before sending.

Any optional cleaning or polishing stages can be removed entirely upon request.

🌳 Wooden Components

If the piece includes wooden beads, toggles, or carved wooden elements, these will receive a complimentary beeswax and vitamin E conditioning treatment to nourish the wood, enhance the grain, and help reduce future drying, cracking, or warping.

A little extra TLC for pieces that need it.

📦 Sending Instructions

Please send clear photographs before purchase so I can confirm the repair is possible.

Once agreed, the piece can be sent to the studio address.

Please ensure:

• the item is securely packaged
• not loose within the parcel
• sent using tracked and insured post

I cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage within the postal system or for items damaged due to insufficient packaging.
