Welsh Slate Geometric Pendulum Board & Protective Coaster

A versatile piece of Welsh slate designed to serve as both a pendulum board and a protective coaster for your altar, desk or spiritual space.

Laser printed with a multi-geometric design, this square slate combines repeating patterns with a semicircular alphabet and numbers from 0–10, creating a compact surface for pendulum work, reflection and personal practice.

Beneath the geometric design sits a protective incantation:

“By will and ward, this space is sealed.
Only those of love, lineage, and wisdom are revealed.”

The wording expresses an intention to establish boundaries around your spiritual practice, welcoming connection with ancestors, loved ones and sources of wisdom while excluding unwanted influences.

A Pendulum Board with a Second Purpose

The semicircular layout features A–Z and numbers 0–10, allowing the piece to be used for letter and number responses during pendulum sessions. The geometric pattern provides a central visual focus, while the incantation establishes the intended protective theme.

When not being used for spiritual practice, the square slate can double as a coaster, bringing its design and protective wording into everyday use.

Repurposed Welsh Slate

Made from slate seconds sourced from a Welsh slate-cutting company, these pieces give usable material a new purpose rather than allowing it to go to waste.

Welsh slate has a long history in traditional building and craftsmanship. Its natural stone character makes it a fitting material for a contemporary spiritual tool rooted in the landscape and heritage of Wales.

As repurposed seconds, individual pieces may have natural variations or minor imperfections that distinguish them from standard commercial slate products.

Pendulum and dowsing boards can be approached in different ways depending on personal beliefs and traditions. If you’re new to this type of tool, take time to research its history and responsible use, and develop a practice that feels informed and meaningful to you.

Protective Finish

The slate is finished with a clear lacquer, which is then selectively laser processed to bring out the clarity and detail of the printed design. This creates a crisp contrast against the natural slate while giving the surface a finished appearance.

Designed to double as a coaster and a pendulum board, each piece combines everyday practicality with a protective incantation and geometric artwork.

Care: Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Until heat resistance has been tested, use with cool or room-temperature drinks rather than very hot mugs.

One piece, two purposes: a practical slate coaster that can also become part of your personal divination and spiritual practice.
