A professional jewellery repair and relashing service for Polynesian-inspired and taonga-style pendants, including:

Each piece is carefully restored by hand with attention to durability, wearability, and cultural respect.

🧵 Materials & Craftsmanship

All repairs are completed using waxed polyester cord, the same style of cord widely used by many contemporary Māori master carvers and jewellery makers for its:

• strength and long-term durability
• water resistance / waterproofing
• reliable tension for intricate lashing
• clean, lasting finish

This makes it ideal for pendants intended for regular wear and everyday use.

Your repair may include:

• full cord replacement
• fresh braid wrapping
• cross-hatching detail
• lash whipping
• new adjustable cord
• toggle and loop closure option

The cord colour can be chosen by the client and discussed before the work begins.

🎨 Colour & Design Discussion

Please send clear photographs of your pendant before ordering so I can assess:

• whether the repair is possible
• the best lashing style for the piece
• preferred cord colour
• closure options

This helps ensure the pendant is restored in the most suitable way.

🌿 Cultural Respect & Mana

I understand that these pieces may hold mana, ancestral significance, or spiritual importance.

As standard, I offer a complimentary:

• gentle ultrasonic clean
• felt wheel buff and polish

However, if you wish the pendant to remain untouched in this way for cultural or spiritual reasons, please let me know.

This stage can be removed from the process entirely out of respect.

For wooden pieces, as part of the repair service, any wooden elements will be finished with a complimentary beeswax and vitamin E conditioning balm to revive the grain, restore moisture, and support the long-term health of the wood. This helps minimise dryness-related issues such as cracking or warping and gives the piece a little restorative care during its studio stay.

📦 Sending Your Pendant

Once we have discussed the repair, the pendant can be sent to my studio address.

Please ensure the piece is:

• securely packaged
• protected from movement
• not left loose within the parcel

Recycled packaging materials are absolutely welcome, as long as the pendant is safely wrapped.

Please note that I am not responsible for damage caused by loose jewellery items during transit.

🚚 Shipping Responsibility

Clients must send the item using a tracked and insured postal service that covers the value of the pendant.

I cannot take responsibility for items lost or damaged within the shipping system before arrival.
