Reclaimed Oak Pendulum Board – Celtic Inspired Geometric Design
A handmade oak pendulum board featuring a Celtic-inspired geometric design, based on a historic pattern from a British Museum pattern book.
The intricate design has been laser printed onto the oak, bringing the flowing curves, symmetry and repeating forms associated with historic Iron Age European decorative art into a contemporary piece of spiritual equipment.
Rather than being an archaeological reproduction, the pattern has been reinterpreted as a modern functional design, combining historic artistic inspiration with contemporary pendulum practice.
The board includes an A–Z alphabet and 0–10 number sequence, providing a simple layout for pendulum work, reflection and personal practice.
There are no predetermined response words on this version, allowing you to develop your own system for interpreting and working with the board.
A small incense-stick hole has been drilled into the board, allowing it to become part of a meditation or ritual setup when appropriate.
A braided jute cord is fitted through a drilled hole, allowing the board to be hung safely out of the way when not in use or attached to a carabiner for carrying while travelling, hiking or camping.
Oak & Reclaimed Timber
The oak used for this board comes from reclaimed wood offcuts, giving a useful piece of timber another life rather than allowing it to become waste.
Oak has a long history within European landscapes and folklore, and its strength and longevity have made it an enduring material for tools, buildings, carving and craft.
Because this is reclaimed natural timber, variations in grain, colour, knots and markings are expected and form part of the character of each individual board.
