This set brings together recycled sterling silver and tumbled New Zealand Pounamu jade in a way that feels both modern and deeply ancestral. Whether taken as a full trio or mixed-and-matched, each piece is designed to be worn, lived in, and connected with — not tucked away in a box.
At the centre of the set is a 5.0mm recycled sterling silver belcher bracelet paired with an 18” (45cm) 1.7mm recycled sterling curb chain, each holding a tumbled Pounamu jade charm made from reclaimed carving offcuts. These are fragments of jade with real history — shaped by a carver, broken during working, then reimagined and brought back to life in my studio. Nothing wasted, everything honoured.
The earrings complete the set with your choice of sterling silver studs or sleeper hoops, each featuring small matched Pounamu charms. The stones vary gently in shade and pattern because they’re natural and reclaimed, but I hand-match them so the pair feels balanced and intentional.
Every charm is attached using open sterling jump rings so they can be swapped, layered, or replaced as your story evolves.

Spiritual & Ancestral Significance
Pounamu is not just another gemstone — it’s a stone of protection, strength, lineage, and connection within Māori culture. Traditionally given as a gift to honour relationships or mark life transitions, it gathers the mana of those who shape, wear, and pass it on.
Even these reclaimed fragments hold that same heartbeat: shaped by river, mountain, craftsperson, and now you. Wearing Pounamu on the pulse (bracelet) or near the heart (pendant) is believed to enhance grounding, clarity, and emotional steadiness.

Geology & Science
For the mineral nerds (you know I’ve got you):
• Stone: Nephrite jade — one of the two true jades
• Origin: Aotearoa / New Zealand
• Chemical formula: Ca₂(Mg,Fe)₅Si₈O₂₂(OH)₂
• Hardness: ~6–6.5 Mohs
• Structure: Interlocked fibrous crystal matrix — this is what gives nephrite its legendary toughness
• Colours: Forest green to deep moss, depending on iron and magnesium content
These small tumbled charms feel soft and organic — almost river-worn — because they’ve been tumbled rather than carved and polished flat.

Care
Silver loves a soft cloth.
Keep it dry when you can.
Jade can be gently rinsed or wiped — it doesn’t mind real life.
