This handcrafted roimata pendant is made from natural lime wood and engraved with the affirmation “Tá Mé Láidir”, meaning “I am strong” in Irish Gaelic. Light, warm, and beautifully grained, lime wood carries a gentle, calming presence that pairs perfectly with a message of quiet inner strength.
The roimata shape, inspired by the traditional Māori drop form, symbolises healing, emotional balance, and the steady release of hardship. Often associated with empathy and resilience, the form represents tears that fall, release, and ultimately transform into wisdom.
The phrase Tá Mé Láidir serves as a daily reminder of inner power — not the loud kind, but the steady strength that carries us through challenge, growth, and change.
Lime wood has long been associated with balance, protection, and emotional harmony. In many traditions, it is considered a tree of gentle strength, offering calm clarity and grounding energy. Its soft, light grain embodies flexibility and adaptability, symbolising the ability to bend without breaking, both physically and spiritually. Lime wood is also linked to healing and purification, often used in talismanic objects to support meditation, self-reflection, and the cultivation of inner resilience. Each pendant is cut, engraved, and finished in my studio, allowing the natural grain of the wood to remain visible so every piece has its own unique character.
